Learn with DVSA-approved instructors who teach on the same West London roads you’ll take your test on. Manual and automatic, patient by principle, and priced so you always know what a lesson costs before you book it.
Your first 2-hour lesson is from £75 if you’re new to driving on a UK provisional licence, and you can book your first driving lesson online in about two minutes: pick your instructor, date and time.
ADI qualified · 2-hour lessons · Est. 2018
West London Driving School has taught learners across West London since 2018. Every instructor is DVSA-approved, every lesson is two hours (the length learners actually progress in), and the school is still run by its founder.
Lessons run on the real roads around Bayswater, Notting Hill and Kensington: the junctions, gyratories and bus lanes West London tests actually use.
An hour in London traffic teaches you very little. Two hours gives time to leave the busy streets, practise properly and consolidate before you finish.
£47.50 an hour standard, first-lesson rates from £75, block packages that bring the rate down. All are published on the prices page before you spend a penny.
You choose the instructor, not the other way round. Profiles, manual or automatic, and the real diary are all visible before you book, and the same instructor teaches you throughout.
Pass in a manual and every car is open to you. Taught in dual-controlled cars on real hills and real traffic.
Manual lessons in detailNo clutch and no stalling, which suits city driving, and it is the licence most new cars will need anyway.
Automatic lessons in detailLessons start wherever your day starts (home, work or college) across Bayswater, Paddington, Notting Hill, Kensington, Maida Vale, Little Venice, Ladbroke Grove, North Kensington, Hammersmith, Chiswick, Acton and Ealing, and across the north-west in Kilburn, Queens Park, West Hampstead, Hendon, Golders Green, Camden Town and Mill Hill.
Two hours, for UK provisional holders who have never driven.
Two hours, for UK provisional holders picking up where they left off.
£47.50 an hour, overseas licence holders included.
Refreshers, test-day car hire, intensive courses and motorway lessons are all on the full prices page.
Further than it used to. The original patch runs from Bayswater and Paddington through Notting Hill and Kensington out to Hammersmith, Chiswick and Ealing. Since our north-west instructor joined it also takes in Kilburn, Queens Park, West Hampstead, Camden Town, Hendon, Golders Green, Colindale and Mill Hill. If your postcode is on the booking page, someone can reach you.
Yes, where one covers your area. Our north-west instructor is female and teaches automatic, and instructors say so on their own profile. Ask on the booking page or message us and we will tell you honestly who is available rather than promising and reshuffling later.
Whichever you book: you arrange the test with the DVSA yourself. We teach the routes for Hendon, Mill Hill, Isleworth, Greenford, Pinner and Wood Green, so wherever your date lands, the lessons before it are on the right roads.
£47.50 an hour, taught in 2-hour lessons. Your first is £75 new, £85 if you have driven before. Full list on the prices page.
Wherever you are, on the quietest roads near you. Your instructor knows which streets in your postcode are forgiving at nine in the morning. You build towards the busy ones; nobody starts on a dual carriageway.
