Prefer a Female Driving Instructor?

You do not need a reason, and you do not need to explain it. If you would rather learn with a woman, tell us and we match you with a female instructor wherever we can, across West and North-West London, in manual or automatic, at the same prices and to the same standard as every lesson we teach.

The quickest way is a WhatsApp to 07380 399311 with your postcode and “female instructor please”. Or mention it when you book through the guided booking.

A common request

Why people ask for a female instructor

It is one of the most frequent questions a driving school gets, and the reasons are all good ones. A car is a small space and you will spend a lot of hours in it; feeling at ease is not a luxury, it is what lets you learn.

Nervous learners

If the idea of driving already makes you anxious, the person next to you matters more than anything else in the car. Many learners simply feel calmer with a female instructor, and calmer learners make progress. Say so, and we will make it happen where we can.

Cultural or personal preference

For some of our students it is a matter of faith or family custom; for others it is a personal boundary. We do not ask which, and we do not treat the request as unusual. Two hours alone in a car with someone should be on your terms.

Parents booking for daughters

Parents often ask on behalf of a 17-year-old. You can book and pay for a learner through the guided booking, request a female instructor at the same time, and follow what has been covered in the student portal. Our safeguarding policy applies to every lesson we teach.

How to ask

Three ways to request one

Whichever you use, include your postcode and whether you want manual or automatic. That is everything we need to tell you honestly what we can offer.

1 · WhatsApp

Message 07380 399311

Say “female instructor please” with your postcode and manual or automatic. You get a straight answer about who is available and when.

3 · When you book

Tell us at booking

The guided booking asks “Any preference for your instructor?” whenever a female instructor is taking online bookings, and lists her first on the booking page with a “Female instructor” badge. If the question is not shown, no female instructor is bookable online at that moment, so ask on WhatsApp instead and we will tell you what we can do.

What does not change

Same lessons, same prices, same standards

Asking for a female instructor is a preference about who sits next to you. It changes nothing about the lesson itself.

Automatic or manual

Automatic lessons are available, and many learners who ask for a female instructor also want an automatic, so tell us both and we match on both. Automatic costs the same as manual with us.

Automatic in North-West London  ·  Automatic in West London

The same published prices

£47.50 an hour in 2-hour lessons. First lesson £75 if you are new to driving on a UK provisional, £85 if you have had lessons before, £95 standard. Blocks from 10 hours (£465) to 40 hours (£1,760). No extra charge for your preference, ever.

Full prices

The same standard

Every instructor who teaches for us is a DVSA-approved ADI, teaching in a dual-controlled car, following the same syllabus that is logged in your student portal after each lesson. Who you learn with is your choice; how well you are taught is not up for negotiation.

The same honesty

If we cannot match you in your area right now, we say so, and we tell you what we can offer instead: another instructor from the team, or a wait. We never quietly book you with someone else and hope you will not mind.

Common questions

Female driving instructors: FAQs

Does it cost more to request a female instructor?

No. Prices are the same for every instructor and every learner: £47.50 an hour in 2-hour lessons, with the first lesson from £75.

Can I have a female instructor for automatic lessons?

Yes. Tell us you want automatic and a female instructor, with your postcode, and we match on both wherever we can. Automatic costs the same as manual.

What if no female instructor covers my area yet?

We tell you straight away. You can choose to wait, or book with another member of the team; every instructor is a DVSA-approved ADI and you always see their profile before you book. The guided booking only asks about a preference when it can be honoured.

Can I book on behalf of my daughter?

Yes. Choose “Buying lessons as a gift” in the guided booking, or message us on WhatsApp. She will need her own UK provisional licence, and you can follow her progress in the student portal.

Which areas can I ask in?

Anywhere we teach: our West London patch around Bayswater, Notting Hill and Kensington, and North-West London from Kilburn up to Hendon and Mill Hill. Availability differs by area, which is why we ask for your postcode first.

Tell us what you need. We’ll tell you what we can do.

A postcode, manual or automatic, and “female instructor please” is all it takes.
